Initial scalp assessment and consultation
Every Scalp Treatment begins with a short consultation and scalp assessment. We look at dryness, oil level, flaking and recent product use, and ask about sensitivities. This conversation guides which nourishing approach we use, and helps set realistic expectations based on your hair routine and lifestyle around Gwynn Oak and the Liberty Heights corridor.
The assessment also factors in local seasonal effects — humid summers, cool winters, and spring variability — plus commute schedules that shape appointment timing. If you are scheduling before or after work near Security Square Mall or the Milford Mill Metro area, we adapt service flow to respect your time and styling plans.
What shapes your results
Results depend on starting scalp condition, frequency of treatments, and the styling or haircare products used at home. Because the region sees four distinct seasons, some clients notice differences in oiliness or dryness across the year. We discuss realistic outcomes and recommend follow-up timing rather than promising specific cosmetic or medical results.
Individual hair textures and previous chemical or heat services can influence how your scalp responds. We do not perform medical diagnoses, but we will flag concerns and advise you whether a salon scalp treatment is appropriate, or whether you should consult a healthcare professional before continuing treatment.
Appointment logistics and expectations
The Scalp Treatment is provided in a focused 45 MINUTES session priced at $50. During that time we complete the assessment, apply the nourishing treatment, and include a short finish for styling readiness. Please plan travel time along Liberty Heights Avenue or I-695, and let us know if you have tight scheduling needs.
To make the most of your appointment, bring a list of current hair products and any comfort needs you have. If you are coordinating around school drop-offs or work commutes from Gwynn Oak or Lochearn, mention that when booking so we can suggest suitable appointment times.
